The world of fine arts is as fast-moving as any other creative discipline, and our Fine Arts program is one of the most technically diverse-encompassing everything from a conceptual work, to the most finely crafted jewellery, to monumental sculptural installation. Intensive studio courses are complemented by work in liberal arts and professional practices to prepare you for a successful and lifelong artistic practice in a wide array of careers.

Creative expression and effective communication are fostered by a solid foundation of work from observation and perception. Students are encouraged to develop ways of choosing directions, media, and subject matter. Through studio work, group discussion, lectures, individual consultations with faculty and visiting artists, develop the technical ability, critical awareness, knowledge of historical frameworks, and self-discipline to form a unique, personal vision.

An exhibition & display of students' works takes place at the end of the year in a grandly organized event held at LALIT KALA ACADEMY graced and honoured by eminent Artists, Illustrators & Designers. Family members and friends are invited to observe the final review and attend the subsequent workshops and events.

This Diploma Programme has a practice-based course structure in creative visual arts aimed at ambitious, motivated, imaginative individuals. You develop and exhibit an exciting body of studio practice and acquire the professional, practical, intellectual and theoretical skills necessary to establish yourself as an artist, for a career in a related field or for postgraduate study.

Career development is supported with opportunities to exhibit your work and undertake live projects that will help you gain the professional skills you need to thrive in the contemporary art world.

To this end, the core objectives of this programme are:
